Creating a Site Collection in SharePoint 2013

This post is for creating a site collection in SharePoint.

So lets get started :)

1. Open Central Admin--> Application management-->Create site collections

 2. Select the Web Application under which you have to create site collection.

3. Change the URL if you want.Select the Template as per your requirement.

4. Enter the name of Primary and secondary site collection administrator.( Primary is mandatory).Click OK

5. Wait while your site collection getting created.

6. Site Collection is created.Click OK

7. You can also click URL to browse it.

Your site collection has been created.
